Drip Emitter Tubing Rain Bird question?

I have a Rain Bird drip system. Is that okay to add holes in a Sub-Surface Drip Emitter Tubing?

Right now the factory holes are every 18 inches. There are a couple spots I would like to add a hole.
If okay, how to do it?

Thank you very much

Adding emitters is likely fine and shouldn't cause any issues as long as you don't go crazy and put in one every 9".

Rainbird has a tool but the emitters have a sharp point on them that just pierces the tubing by pushing them in. They will self-seal on the tubing. Then add a short 1/4" tube as needed.
