Residential Flagpole specifications

I want to add a flagpole to our front yard. I have decided on a 20 ft one. I would like to know the correct specifications for the pole to be sure it will last and survive the weather. I am in central Arkansas, so we do have occasional tornadoes and thunderstorms. Winds can reach 50 to 60 MPH. I understand that virtually no pole will survive a direct hit by a tornado. There are a great many choices for flag poles and I would like some advice on selecting one.

I would choose 16 ga aluminum for a 20'-25' pole. I have a 25' flagpole that is nearly 20 years old. I remove the flag whenever very high winds are forecast and if tropical storm or hurricane force winds are forecast I lower the telescoping pole.
