Converting recessed light to chandelier...

The hole in the ceiling for the existing recessed light is larger than the base plate for my new chandelier. I know after removing the recessed light I'll need to install a junction box, but I'm wondering if there is any alternative to repairing the drywall up to the edge of the junction box.

The installation is on a sloped ceiling, so don't think a ceiling medallion (to cover the larger hole) would look right. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Wink chandelier that attaches to recessed lights

there is an alternative to removing your recessed lighting. You can attach a crystal chandelier called a cristalier to your recessed lighting trim. I saw them on a extreme home makeover.
