Ceiling fan - no blade movement

I installed a Hampton Bay "Romano" ceiling fan with remote. The light works but I am not getting any rotation of the fan blades. When I press the lo, med, or hi buttons on the remote i can hear the slight buzz of the motor but get no movement.

i believe i wired it correctly ...three wire..

black wire from ceiling to receiver - black from receiver to fan
white wire from ceiling to receiver - white from receiver to fan
red wire from ceiling capped
blue wire from receiver to blue wire from fan

any clues??

Some fans have a fan blade direction switch with 3 positions. Up, down, and middle. If the switch is in the middle position the blades will do nothing. Try pushing it either up or down and see if that solves the problem.

The pull chain switch is not in the "high" position. Pull the chain, try again. Pull the chain, try again. Pull the chain, try again. Make sure the wall switches are both on.

Don't think there is a pull chain ...everything is done by remote.

About to take it back to the Depot and try another

Make sure the blade direction switch is in the up or down position and not the middle. This switch is usually found on the housing of the fan.
