i was wanting to put in some undercabinet kitchen lights...but i would have no idea how to wire something to a switch...is there a product out there that can just be switched on and is still appealing? i love that soft yellow look.

I have 2 ceramic light fixtures (the kind with the light bulb exposed) in my basement that I wanted to replace with a fixture with a glass bulb. There is a light switch at the steps leading into the basement and one at the far end of the basement and both control the lights. I think this is considered a 3-way switch. When I unscrewed the ceramic fixtures i see the following... Fixture 1 - 2 white wires and 1 black, each of which is screwed into their own screw on the fixture. Black goes to a gold screw, whites both get their own silver screw. Fixture 2 - 1 white, 1 black, and 1 red, each of which is screwed into their own screw on the fixture. Black goes to a gold screw, white a silver screw, and red a silver screw. My question is how do I hook up my new fixtures when they only have 1 black and 1 white wire each? Or do I have to buy a different kind of fixture? Thanks in advance!!
