Installing A Heat Lamp??

I'm thinking about installing an infrared heat lamp in my bathroom where there is an existing light fixture. Is there anything I need to know about whether or not this is a possibility?? Any special wiring or voltage needed?

Thanks,
Mike

All you have to do is determine the wattage of the lamp you want to use and make sure that the circuit you are putting it on has that much excess capacity. You may not be allowed to by code, and you may not want to, put this on the same circuit as the bathroom receptacle. You may, however, put it on the same circuit as the bathroom lighting.

If the house is old(per 1985) make sure you have the correct type of wires. Older homes have 60 wires. You new fixture may specify 90 wires.
