Replacing Ceiling Fan with Chandelier

We have a ceiling fan with light in our dinning room. We just bought a chandelier to replace the fan. How hard would it be to do this?

To my understanding all I need to do is take off the fan and hook up the wires of the new light fixture to the box of the fan and it should do the trick. Does that sound right? How will the lighting fixture hold on to the ceiling? Do I have to screw it on to the ceiling? There is a silver plate sort of thing on the light fixture.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you guys.

Chances are it will be trivial and obvious. The chandelier should attach to the electrical box. Be sure to carefully record the existing connections before removing the fan.
