Motion Sensor Light Not Working!
I have an outdoor light on either side of the garage outside. They are both exactly the same light fixture model. Hampton Bay light that has a dusk to dawn feature, and when it is nighttime out, and the motion sensor detects motion, it makes the light brighter. When there is no motion it goes dimmer (supposed to do this). Problem is, one of the light fixtures stopped doing that all of a sudden. It just behaves like a regular light, stays on all the time and no motion capabilities. The other one works fine! They are both controlled by the same switch, but are not hooked directly to each other. Thanks!
In case it helps, the Hampton Bay model number is HZ-360068 .
The motion sensor console thing inside the light is by Heath/Zenith, and it's model number is 248-617 .

Do the instructions allow more than one fixture on the same switch? Do the fixtures have any override modes where you can use the switch to make them do something else (like always or never stay bright or dim)?
I didn't look up the model numbers you provided, so maybe my questions are answered by the product literature.

Yes, I read the literature. They are allowed on more than one switch. They have an override mode, an automatic mode, and a test mode. I tried doing exactly as the instructions say to go into automatic mode (the mode I want), but it is just stuck in manual (override) mode.

Oh, sorry, I didn't word myself correctly.
Yes, it states in the instruction booklet the procedure for hooking up more than one fixture to one switch.
BTW, they are hooked up in parallel wiring with the lightswitch, not in series.

Same problem - Twice
This motion detector must have a high failure rate. I have bought a repalcement when the first motion light failed. The same thing happened again. The light always comes on at light, never goes off and no motion detection capablilty.
