How to dim from multiple locations...
Have what I think is called a "4 way" switch (the same fixture which is a recessed lighting array) is controlled by three different light switchs. I would like to be able to dim these recessed lights , can I use a "3 way" dimmer in one location and standard "3 way" rockers in the other two? Or is there a special setup that I need to do? Would I need a dimming switch at all three locations?

You can use a 3W dimmer to replace one of the existing 3W toggles. They do not make 4W dimmers.
There are special dimmers that would allow you to dim from more than one location but I don't have a link available right now.
Pay special attention to which wire is connected to the Common terminal before you make any wiring changes. The Common will be an odd color from the other 2 terminals.
