Light with no switch

I recently purchased a home built in 1926. There is a light (actually a fan + light) above the stair landing between the first and second floor that is not wired to a switch, and can only be controlled by the pull cord. Has anyone seen a wireless wall mount switch and module that could be incorporated into the wiring (3 way would be even better). Because of the great distance between this light and where a switch would be located, wireless is the only option.
