Low Voltage lighting where flood light once was
I have flood lights on my house and i wish to now have low voltage lighting further out in the flower bed and facing up the house.
I already have an electrical source right where the flood lights are. My question is how do i properly hook these together.
One option is to just up a screw in plug adaptor int the bulb socket and then plug the transformer in there. That does not seem to 'weather proof'.
The other is to remove the flood lights all together and then cut the plug of the transformer off and the 'nut' the transformer to the original flood light wires.
Any other suggestions?
thanks

You could remove the fixture and install a receptacle in its place. The receptacle could be GFCI and fitted with an inuse cover. If the receptacle up high under the eves it does not need to be GFCI.
