If one light is working, another on same breaker isn't.

We had an old ceiling fan that finally stopped working one day but when it stopped, so did another set of lights powered by a separate switch but on the same breaker. We disconnected the fan and then the set of lights that stopped working along with it, started to work again. We bought a new fan yesterday and installed it and it works great but now the other set of lights stopped working again.
We have been here for 3 years and this has never happened before so i don't think it would be that it's too much for that breaker. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere. Turn the power off and look where you just hung the fan. Make sure all the connections are secure.
