Make a Light Switch Always On?

We've got a light switch that controls some outlets in two raised cutouts in our living room. We have our stereo system in the cutouts, and because we'd like it to always be on, we'd like to switch the wiring from a switch to an "always on" setup.

Do I just take the two wires going into the switch and connect them using one of those electrical caps, then just replace the switch plate with a full (no holes) plate? If not, can you please give me ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Yup, all you need is one wirenut and a blank plate. Or you can just put the switch back in the hole.

I would write a lable and put it in the switch box explaining where the wires go. Someone may find that note handy in the future.
