Light wiring how 2? U wont believe this...
Believe it or not I've just found out that my bathroom light has been some how wired with "SPEAKER" wire !!! Yes,I said Speaker wire.... Wow !! did I get taken 4 a ride Ive paid all but, $200 to someone to do that along with various other,bathroom & home remodeling repairs. Three weeks ago Monday was the last time Ive sean,heard or been able 2 contact him. I would like to know how 2 fix this problem MYSELF and what wires connect where,etc.... Please, PLease HELP !!!!!

I am not sure of the exact question. You obviously need to replace the speaker wire with proper electrical wire, and I would advice you do not use this light or anything else that may fall into question until it is fixed.

OMG! Speaker wire?! Lol, I thought I heard it all til that! Yea, I would definetly recommend NOT using that.

Do you have a low voltage system in your house?
Do you have a regular switch in that room, or is it a push button or rocker type switch? When you turn on the light, do you hear a clicking sound?
I thought that my house was wired with speaker wire also, and then I found out that it kind of was, and in my case, it is suppose to be. I have a low voltage system wireing throughout my house to control the lighting.

Make sure it is not a low voltage system. Even if it is, this is the wrong wire.
Call your building/electrical dept. and report him/her. They are on their way to Kill someone.
As Noted: Check EVERTHING this person worked on, don't use it.

You may have a bigger problem than just some improper wiring which is bad enough. Was this guy a licensed electrical contractor? Did he pull a permit? Do you know if the other work he did was done correctly?
With that said, how do you know it is speaker wire? Do you have low voltage circuits in the house?
