Question 2 lights, 2 switchs, 1 power source

In my infinite wisdom (yeah, right) I have a stair light & outside light I need to wire up to switchs. I have a 12 g 2 wire (bl wh & ground) going to each. The problem I have is that the power source for the 2 switchs is the return arm of the inside light. The original power source is at the interior light.
Can this work without a 3 wire going to the outside light to provide a neutral?

Yes, a 3 wire from the light that has power to the switch location, and 2 wire form that ro the other light.
