Building my own desk lamp..need lamp arm assembly

I am in the process of building a high intensity desk lamp to use when tying flies and fixing fishing reels. I have obtained an old but clean Wright Cyclone radial aircraft engine piston to use as a base and need to locate a supplier for the arm assembly. Does anyone out there in cyberspace have a URL address for a lamp parts supplier that might have this part. It would be the same basic arm as an arichitects high intensity type adjustable arm lamp.

I plan on drilling and tapping this piston's top to use as a counterweight/base and adding the lamp arm myself, and have ied to Google up a supplier to no avial.

Thanks Much
Go Buckeyes!

I have not built a lamp as you are trying to do but have some experience in repairing some commercial architectural lighting.
What I have found is that you can often buy complete assemblies for considerably less money than buying the parts.
Also, lamp parts as you have described are not that readily available.

I'm sure you can find an import lamp like what you want for not too much money.
If you are determined to do your own thing buying a complete lamp and canabalizing it would also work.
