I have an old warehouse that we have turned into a retail store. There were 3 existing lighting circuits. Each circuit is controled by a single wall switch and each circuit is connected to a 20 amp breaker. Nothing but the ceiling lights are on the circuit. We cut into the cable directly above each wall switch, installed a junction box and connected newly installed track lighting. The old ceramic ceiling fixtures are still wired into the circuit through the new junction boxes but since there are no lights attached they are virtually non-functioning other than the wire connection. The first circuit controls 2-28 ft runs of track. The 2nd controls 1-28 ft run and the third controls the last 2-28 ft runs. Each run consists of 3-8 ft sections and 1-4 ft section. Each 28 ft was supposed to have approx 12 heads on it. Although when we first installed it about 2 months ago we started out by placing too many heads on the 1st runs then realized that we were running out of heads and were going to redistribute the heads once we knew all heads, bulbs and wiring were functioning properly. But before this could happen the light bulbs began popping and going out. I realize that maybe we had too many fixtures on the circuit and I want to understand what we may have done wrong. But if this is true.... shouldn't the breaker have tripped if there was an overload??? Or shouldn't the popping or burning out of bulbs stopped once the max load was reached??? Because it didn't. Over a 2 week period the first circuit blew all bulbs but 5. The 2nd circuit blew all bulbs but 2 and the 3rd circuit blew all bulbs but 2. Two different things happened. Sometimes the bulbs would just burn out or sometimes they would pop when the switch was turned on. The track is a "basic standard run of the mill" JT 2 wire track with a "basic standard run of the mill" step cylynder R30/PAR30 head. I was using 75W/130V refelctor bulbs. We used 14 gage wire. If I understand correctly.....If a 20 amp circuit can handle approx 1920 watts then using 75W bulbs should have allowed 25 heads per circuit. But the 2nd circuit had 13 heads on it and it still blew and popped all but 2. Any and comments will be appreciated.

I have a low voltage light over the dining room table that flickers a lot when it is switched on, and then finally lights up. Sometimes it just flickers and never fully lights up. It is almost as if he light fixture has to warm up before it works right. I checked the voltage at the switch and in the box in the ceiling and that seemed OK. My only other thought is that possibly the switch is bad, or the transformer in the light is going (gone) bad. Any suggestions?
