Converting a Candlelier to an Electrical Chandelier (Wiring)

I have a beautiful candlelier (a non-electrical chandelier that uses candles) that I would like to convert to an electrical chandelier. This would involve installing bulb sockets, etc. I would rather not go to an electrician with this one. I can hang the wired chandelier with no problem, but don't know where to begin to install the sockets. Does anyone have any experience with this type of project?

I recommend that you at least talk to a lighting shop for advice. They will be able to sell you the parts you need and they can probably answer all your questions. You may a little more for parts, but you will gain that in valuable advice.
