Ceiling fan switch

Aloha
I have one Casablanca fan and one Hunter , they both stopped about the same time . Is there way to tell if it's a switch or the fan motor ?
Thank you

Define "stopped". Do they act like they have no power? The light (if it has one) doesn't come on, the motor doesn't hum, the blades don't move an inch? Maybe your circuit breaker is tripped.

Also define "about the same time". Is that the same second, the same hour, the same day, the same week, the same month?

Are the two fans in the same room? Separate rooms? Are they controlled by the same switch? How are they controlled (wall switch, remote, chains)?
