Question bathroom light bulb burns out

Bathroom light socket popped/smoked and bulb burned out. Replaced the fixture with a new one. The wires looked fine. One of the four new bulbs (halogen-thin & about 3" long) just burned out. I'm concerned there might be a wiring problem. Or is it just coincidence? Bulb came with fixture new from lamps plus. Thanks

Measure the voltage at the fixture (carefully). Is it 120 volts AC plus or minus a little?

If this is an isolated event that doesn't happen again, I'd just forget it.

Don't touch the glass on these bulbs as oil on skin can cause bulbs to burn out.
