What to do with a dummy wall switch - install wireless?

Hello,

When building my home, the electrician installed a two-gang electrical box in two of the bedrooms, to control the overhead fan, and the light attached to the fan. Turns out that the fan we installed has a remote control, and so only one of the two wall switches installed is being used to power the entire fan unit. Then the remote is used for the various settings.

We now have an extra wall switch in these bedrooms that is not used, basically a dummy switch. I'd like to use this gang box to install a wireless outlet switch so that I can have it switch a floor lamp to provide extra lighting, but all of the wireless switches that I've seen are meant to be surface mount, and not flush mounted in a gang box.

Anybody have experience with using a wireless switch in an electrical box?

Thanks.

Take a look at this site.
They have what you are looking for at reasonable prices.
There are products by Lutron that will also fit the bill.
