What is the most powerful ceiling fan?

I recently replaced a 52" ceiling fan with a 70" Hunter ceiling fan and I find no discernible difference in the strength of the breeze. I'd always heard that Hunter fans were the strongest, but that wasn't the case here and I'm considering removing the fan and returning it back to the store. What ceiling fan do the readers of this post recommend? Thank you.

Read the CFM (cubic feet per minute) ratings on the side of every fan box. Most people don't want a tornado in their house, so fan manufacturers typically limit the CFMs on purpose. But just look at all the boxes in the store and buy the one with the highest CFM.

Also, longer downrods produce more air flow. Don't mount your fan too close to the ceiling, or to any of the walls. Also, consider multiple fans in the same room if you want more flow.

One of the biggest things, besides motor speed, that determines how much air a fan will move is blade pitch. Blades that are almost flat move no air
