recessed lights

I recently bought an Ikea Lotorp ceiling light fixture to replace a ceiling fan. I have two problems. Please help! 1. The existing ceiling fan mounting bracket doesn't work with the new light fixture. The fan "bar" bracket is way too big for the light fixture. The light fixture doesn't come with a mounting bracket. It has two mounting screw holes and two screws. How do I attach the fixture to the ceiling wiring box? 2. In the ceiling wiring box, there is one red wire, one bare copper wire, two white wires (capped together), and two black wires (capped together). The room has two swithes that contoled the ceiling fan. The new light fixture has one white wire, one black wire, and one green wire. Which wires should I splice together? Thanks for your help!
