Convert hard-wired wall sconce to plug-in sconce
Hello,
I have a pair of antique wall sconces that are hard-wired, but the location that I want to put them in is not set up electrically for this. There is, however, an outlet that is ideally located.
Is there an adapter kit or process I can use/do to convert them to the plug-in variety? This would solve all of my problems AND I would not have to get an electrician to install new sockets.
Thank you!

I advise against this project. There's just no way to ensure the safety of this installation.
It may not seem so to you, but it is a simple matter to install a new box at the location you want the sconce and run in-wall cabling to it.
