Flourescent Desk lamp ballast

The ballast for my desk lamp(4-bulb plug-in) is dead. Any idea where I can buy a new ballast or how I can repair the one I have?

If you are sure it is the ballast, disconnect the fixture from power (I'm guessing the plug). Remove the ballast and bring it to your home store. If they don't have it you may have to go to a electrical supply or on line store to get what you need.

What kind/size of lamps are they? (ex: T5 24")

Think about this before you go to too much effort. The ballast plus some modest value for your time will probably be more money than a new lamp.
