What would cause dim lights?

I just ran new wiring in my basement to a set of 3 recessed lights and they're dim. Everything on that circuit works fine, it's just the 3 lights on the same switch, all dim even when they're the only thing turned on. When I try just one at a time they're fine, so the wiring is good. I've bypassed the switch, same results, so I've eliminated that possiblility. I've check the grounding...fine there too. I'm convinced the problem is in the wiring that jumps from light to light but I've tested each light individually so I would have found that problem. Not once has the 15 amp breaker tripped either.

The next step is where I rip out some hair...and I need all I have left. Any thoughts?

Hi i8, just a guess, but it sounds like they may be wired in series rather than parallel. So, describe how you wired them, starting at the switch, bot to box and then wire to wire inside the boxes. Even if my guess is wrong, the above information will locate the problem.
