Candelabra Adapter
My lamp post lantern requires 3 - 60 watt candelabara base bulbs. My post lantern is on from dusk to dawn. The regular candelabara bulbs only last about 8 months since they are on for about 10 hours per evening. I want to use CFL light but CFL candelabara bulbs are not cheap either.
Is it possible to use a candelabara adapter to be able to use the more common CFL spiral bulb? The CFL spiral bulbs are much more affordable than candelabara bulbs. If so, what kind of adapter can I get to use the common 13watt CFL light bulb?
Will this adapter damage the light fixture in any way?

I don't believe you will find an adapter to go to a standard Edison base. The reason being is a candelabra base is limited to 60 watt bulbs. By installing an adapter you would then be aloud to install a lamp greater than 60 watts.
A quick search on Google I find you can get candelabra CFL's for around $5 for 40 watt equivalent and $9 for 60 watt equivalent.
Another option I have seen is candelabra LED bulbs. I have only seen them at Walmart but have no experience with them.
