spray paint ceiling fan or no?
I want to spray paint the middle part of the ceiling fan that houses the gears (Hehe i think) and attaches to the ceiling. Will there be a problem if the paint gets into the many tiny little holes along the sides? of course I am going to take it down and seperate the parts... and then try to get it back together again looking like the original.

When you take it down you will find that the outside gold part is separate from the motor inside so I doubt you will have any problems. The only issue you may have is the holes are many times covered with a fine screen. You may clog up the screen which may reduce airflow around the motor. If that is the case maybe just removing the screen all together will work.
