Bathroom Light Height

Hi all. I have a quick question regarding how high a vanity light should hang. I'm remodeling a half bath and replacing my old light and actually moving the junction box to above the mirror. My new vanity is 35" high..add the quartz top (1 1/8) and a 3" black splash, we are talking 39 1/8 from finished floor to top to back splash. I will be using a 24x36 Mirror hung horizontally. I have 8' ceilings. For this measurements...how high should the box for the vanity light be placed from AFF? I already purchased the light..it's bar light with 4 globes that measures aprox. 25" width.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From floor to mirror top is only 5 1/4 feet. A taller person will need to bend to see their reflection. I would set the bar light at about the 7 foot level. Much lower than that and the lights will be directly in users faces (squint factor).

You might also consider a 36" x 36" mirror, if you have not already purchased one.
