Question Screws / Washers Needed for Installing Ceiling Fan

I'm installing a ceiling fan in a bedroom, and the fan did not come with screws/washers to attach the hanger bracket to the ceiling outlet box. The directions say to use size 8 screws, spring washers, and flat washers.

How long do the screws need to be? Are they supposed to be wood screws or something else?

Which order do I put the washers on the screw? Flat washer, then lock/spring washer, or the opposite?

Thanks!

it needs to be a 10-24 machine screw, that is only if its going into a proper fan rated box which i hope it is. I would go lock washer then regular washer.
