I bought 3 Minka-Aire Concept II Celing fans that come with a remote control that controls both the fan and light. I want to install a wall control (hardwire dimmer switch) (minka-aire-WC106) that will control the fan/light from the wall....so when I walk into the room I can flick on the fan's light and not have to search for the remote in the dark to turn on the light. Is it possible to wire the fan so I can use both the remote control AND add a hardwire dimmer switch on the wall that will control the fan also?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Welcome to the forums! Highly doubtful, since the hand held remote requires energy to the fan to begin with before it can operate. If you turn off that energy at the wall switch, the remote can't work. Installing the dimmer switch on the wall will negate the flexibility of using the hand held. Most remote controls come with a wall hanger that hangs next to the switch that controls the unit. Walk into the room and touch the remote and the functions operate. Take it out of the cradle and walk with it. Seems to be a better solution.
