Regular Recessed Light Over Shower - Code Violation?
I'm remodeling a house for resale and have a quick question....
There is a recessed light over the shower/tub and it doesn't have a special shower trim on it (appears to be the same type of recessed light found in the bedrooms where the light bulb is uncovered and visible). Will this pass inspection, or do I need to remedy this? If I need to fix it, is there a quick, cheap way to do so? Can I buy and install just the shower trim, or do I have to replace the whole recessed light can?

Trim rings on recessed fixtures are easily changed. You just need to match the trim to the brand of housing.
There are open bulb trims that are listed for use above shower stalls, but not all are.
