Question about leaving live light bulb sockets empty.

I 'll be out of town for the holidays for about a week. I don't want to leave on all three outdoor lights since it may tip off burglars that the house is empty. I don't have dusk-to-dawn lights.

I want to leave one light on 24/7. But the indoor switch turns on all three lights simultaneously. Can I just leave the bulb sockets empty on the other two light fixtures? Is this an electrical hazard?

Not a hazard. You could just unscrew the bulb part way if you want..

Thanks, I decided to just unscrew the other bulbs while still mounted in the sockets
