Underwater Lighting
Hello everyone,
I don't know if it's the correct forum, but I couldn't find any other relevant place to post. I have a 2 person jacuzzi spa tub in my bathroom and I was looking for some accent lighting. My initial thoughts were along the lines of a wireless light that would attach to the side or bottom of the tub under the water. I think it would produce a cool light dispersement when the overhead lights are low.
Practically, I don't know if this can be done safely or relatively inexpensively. I'm not sure if anyone here has any knowledge about these types of things but any ideas would get the ball rolling in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

I have a floating, battery powered light in my spa. It's two years old and still running on it's first set of batteries. I do not know of any submersible battery powered lights.
You can also look at fiber optic lights where the light source is safely out of the water and you just run the optic cable wherever you want light. It would probably look like an afterthought if you just ran them on the surface into the tub. Most often I've seen them installed in small holes drilled in the sides of tubs & spas which of course ups the difficulty and opportunity for leaks.
You might try posting your question in the hot tub and spa section of the forum.

Yea, I will try posting there. It is more of a "can this work" type of situation. I don't know if I would even want to do it, but sounds very interesting. Thanks.
