Ceiling fan without ceiling wires?

I live in a house built in the 1950s, and want to install a ceiling fan with lights. The problem is that I have no wiring for ceiling fixtures and installing such wiring is absolutely out of the question (this is a flat-roofed house without sufficient attic space to fit a human, so the only option for adding wiring would be to cut away way more of the ceiling than I am comfortable with). My question is what can I do? Ideally I would like to get a fan that can plug into a wall outlet, but I have been unable to find one for sale and have been told that they are no longer manufactured. Does anybody know where I can find one of them, or barring that, how I can power a fan without having attic access?

Use surface race such as Wiremold to run the wiring.
