Harbor Breeze Ceiling fan/light combo

I want to convert my current Harbor Breeze ceiling fan / light fixture back to just the fan. Anybody know how that's done? Thanks.

You would remove the light and replace with the blank plate that was originally included with the fan. If you didn't save it and BigBox doesn't have one you may have to contact the manufacturer.

I believe Harbor Breeze has a plastic snap plug that the light fixture plugs into. Just squeeze it and unplug the fixture. No need for further work except the cover that you probably don't have as Ray said

22AWG wiring in a Lamp (GASP)

I found one of those infamous touch lamps with a bad touch module so I took it in (1st strike against me:NO NO NO:) and I opened the bottom and the sockets were wired with 22AWG is 22AWG good for 120V use? The wires say "22AWG 90C 300V" I know it was made in china but wow! and the main cord to the wall outlet was 20AWG Double Wow! and gasp I am going to retoss the lamp back where it came from So my only question/Theory if the 20AWG line cord had a short would the Circuit Breaker trip or would the cord just burn up? Second light from the garage door opener courtesy light

I have been swimming through the Internet and have found absolutely nothing. I want to add a second light in my garage when the opener's courtesy light comes on. The garage is two cars wide and deep (30'x34', I think). The courtesy light is dim and illuminates only forward near the garage door. The rear of the garage remains dark. My thought is to add a current tap to the light socket and run a second light farther back in the garage. There is a space to run the cable out of the opener, but I may just leave off the translucent light cover depending on space. A simple solution is to use a work light.
