Question CertainTeed Mushroom Exhaust Fan Making Noise

I have a CertainTeed Mushroom Exhaust Fan in my attic. The fan is working fine, but the thermastat box is making noises. Kind of like a loud hum. Adjusting thermostat doesn't seem to affect the sound. Is this anything I should be concerned about?

Welcome to the forums! The lifespan of one of those exhaust fans is not that great. Either the motor seizes up of the tstat fails. Remember they have to work in 130 degree temps all day. I know it would require a retrofit, but my suggestion is to do away with the electric motor fans and install ridge venting. It is passive and will remove the air just as well by convection. Heat rises to the highest point and exits. How much better can it get? OR spend money every year or so replacing fan motors, thermostats or housings damaged by hail.
