How to wire bath fan/light combo in remodel

This fan/light/nightlight unit can be installed with a 3-toggle "multi control." The wiring instructions show this.

But I just want my existing wall switch to turn on the fan and light part of it. Nothing fancy.

My existing wiring is just 2-wire with ground.

Can I just use a single wirenut to connect my existing black wire to the black wire for the fan and the blue wire for the light?

Then use a single wirenut to connect my existing white wire to the white wire for the fan and the white wire for the light?

Then connect the ground wire to the green screw?

Thanks!! Gary

Yes you can do as you describe...but you won't have a nightlight function.

Switch

And the fan and light will be on at the same time or off at the same time.
