Bcarli: Hunter Remote Problem
We have 6 Hunter fans in our house model number 23530 ( remote control) and only one still works and they are less then 5 years old. I have spent so much time on the phone trying to get hold of somebody but all I get is a message saying how important my call is.. B.S. They have the worst customer service department I have ever had to deal with. All of my fans have a light that works but the fans simply do nothing but click when we push the remote...any ideas? Can i buy what ever I need to fix them ( controllers???) from somebody besides Hunter???

sounds like the controller went out. I have a fan in my living room when i bought my house, I opened up the canopy and saw why the remote did not work, the RF receiver/speed controller had burned up, the fan still and light still worked, I direct wired it temporarily to check to see if the fan worked, it did.
RF receivers / speed controllers cannot be fixed, they are replaced, keep in mind they pack a lot of electronics ( speed controller, receiver ) in a small package and then cram it in the top canopy or the bottom canopy next to the light stems, and usually the fan must must be set the the highest fan speed for the speed controller to work properly or will not not work for very long. Over time the heat from speed controlling module kills the units ( or at least the speed controlling aspect )
