How are you going to attach the new wire to the sockets of the chandelier? Does the new wire include a ground? Is neutral distinguished from hot on the new wire?

Hi Ray..New wire doesn't have ground. Existing wire has separate ground so was going to go that way...Since posting I started dismantling.. It has 6 up and 1 down light and is not going to be easy to get to where I need to...Can I splice to existing? Its not old wire....typical gold lamp wire just like what I bought at Home depot

I'd say what you are trying to do is not advisable. But wait for the pros to reply. This being the weekend they may be tied up.
