any problem w/running motion sensor bath fan thru wall switch

I have a Panasonic Whisper Sense bath exhaust fan that runs only from motion sensor w/delayed shut off. I want to be able to manually control / shut off when not wanted - it turns on when I merely enter hallway or continually cycles off & on every time I move in bath, chilling the room. I live in arid climate & used to just leave door open after bath or shower with no mold issues. Almost wish I never got it.

Is there any reason not to reroute through wall switch so I can turn it off unless wanted? If OK, can I just block the sensor, or better to disconnect? Thanks for input.

You could put a switch ahead of the sensor.

thank you - seemed so, but installer seemed to imply would somehow harm unit.

Any issues with the sensor; or will it just be off w/no power? guess I'll see.
