I live in Florida this home was built on 2011 by Lennar, every room come prewire for ceiling fans double switch, I just install one of the fan, the are 4 wires, the bare ground , black, red, white. The fan comes with 3 wires and the ground, White, Black and Black with white stripe. This is the way it is connected, White with white, black and red and Black with black with white. The problem is the switch of the light is direct. The switch does still work for the wall receptacle. Any ideas?Thank you.

Welcome to the forums!
I am moving your question to the Lighting, Light Fixtures, Ceiling and Exhaust Fans sub-forum, so that you might get more answers more quickly.
It is likely that the fan black should connect to the ceiling black and the fan black/white should connect to the ceiling red.
Which switch? What receptacle?

At the ceiling connection be tying the ceiling black and red together you are over-riding the switch for the other function.
I would find it unlikely that a switch was supposed to work for the fan and a receptacle.
