3 way combination fan/light switch

3 way combination fan/light switch

Does any one know of a wall switch model that would control both a fan and light in a 3 way? All of the switches seem to be single pole design.

Is there a reason you can't use separate switches for each function? Is there a reason a 3-way duplex toggle switch wouldn't work?

Here is the switch you are seeking;Amazon.com: Leviton 5243 15 Amp, 120/277 Volt, Duplex Style Two 3-Way Combination Switch, Commercial Grade, Ivory: Home Improvement If I am reading your question correctly you, are trying to switch either the fan or light individually from two locations? This is the switch Ray was talking about. Should be available from most home improvement stores. about $15.00.

Porch light not working, how to troubleshoot?

I help maintain a rental property owned by my son, who lives far away now. The tenant recently told me the porch light does not work. It holds two lights. I tested both light bulbs and they are OK. I replaced the wall switch located near the door to the porch but that did not resolve the problem. The switch is in a 3-switch box containing two other switches for interior lights and they are working. Of course, I could replace the light fixture but it's just a simple device that connects to the wiring in the porch ceiling. I don't see how it could be the cause unless the wiring in it is bad. I'm wondering whether I can use a device left with me by my son to test the wiring. I'm not familiar with the device. Replaced Ceiling Fan with Light Kit....NO POWER

Please help....We had a Ceiling Fan with Light in our Kitchen, we decided to buy a nicer Hampton Bay Fan with Light Kit, we took the other fan down and there were four wires: White to White Blue and Black to Black Green to ground So we hung the new fan exactly the same and we have ABSOLUTELY nothing.... We have taken it down and checked everything 3 times, no breakers tripped..nothing... We tried to replace our other Kitchen light first and took everything down and the new light was broke in the box, so we tied the loose wires back up and left it to move to the Fan. The Fan is tied into this same light (regular light) and they both get power off a single switch. So now we have no lights in our Kitchen....
