bathroom exhaust fan & light not working
The exhaust fan and light in my bathroom stopped working simultaneously. It seems to me that it must be a loose connection somewhere, but how can connections that sit undisturbed in an attic just loosen by themselves? And how can I pinpoint where the problem is? Is there any way this could be due to a problem with the fan itself? The fan and light are on separate switches.

Assuming you have already turned the breaker all the way off then on with no change it is probably a GFCI. The GFCI receptacle could be anywhere, inside or outside the house, garage, basement, attic, soffit, kitchen, in a cabinet, behind something that hasn't been moved in years.
