New Hunter HIGHBURY 52" ceiling fan will not rotate counterclockwise
I just
installed a new Hunter HIGHBURY ceiling fan I bought at Home-depot. The fan has remote and every thing works . Lights come on and fan comes on but it will only rotate in the "winter" or clockwise direction. Moving the toggle switch has no effect except that fan will not rotate at all if I move it to the "summer" counterclockwise setting. I suspect that the toggle switch for rotation is defective since fan works , lights work etc. Any ideas?

If it is new return it. It doesn't make since you should waste time and money on a repair that may or may not work. Next fan if you get the same make and model test (blades not attached) before installing by connecting a cord and plug and giving it a power for a few seconds each direction to see if it works. That way if every fan in a lot run from the factory is bad you don't waste time installing another bad one.
