2--fluorescent light fixtures with 2 tubes/per fixture.

Where is the starter located on fluorescent fixtures? Does age make any difference as far a replacing the starter? This mobile home was built in 1977 and these are probably the originals. It is hard to make them light. I have to flick the switch up and down to get them to light up. I have already replaced the tubes.

Thank you for any help you can give me............Glenda

Most modern fluorescent fixtures don't have starters. (Yes, '77 is modern.) I'd suspect poor grounding or a failing ballast.

Thank you Ray.

Second person to tell me that. I will have it checked out, and see if the ballast is cheaper than new fixtures.
