Timer with motion flood light
Is it possible to wire a timer to a motion detection flood light to have the motion detection only active during certain preset hours. In my mind it should work as follows. I set the timer to turn ON at 10pm and OFF at 5am. During that period of time (10pm - 5am) if motion is detected the light will turn ON. If no motion is detected the light will remain OFF. I am trying to do this because my home has multiple sets of motion floods at the front of the home. Each set was wired to a separate switch and the switches are not in a central location. I want this setup, if possible to avoid having to go around the house to control each set of floods individually.

Welcome to the forums!
Yes.
Are you planning to install a separate timer for each unit? What is it you're doing as you go around the house now -- that is, what are you controlling that can't be preset at the fixtures?

I'm a little lost. The idea of having a motion sensor is to go off any time there is motion.
Since the motion detector has a day/night sensor built in it will only illuminate when it's dark outside.
