What type of switch is this?

Is this dimmer switch or just regular one pole 1 way interrupter/switch?

Looks like an X-10 wireless switch.

It is a touch plate dimmer. You briefly touch it to turn the lamp on or off and you hold your finger on it to dim or brighten. The little toggle at the bottom is an air break switch to completely remove power while changing the light bulb. If you do not remove power when changing the bulb you CAN destroy the circuitry.

Thanks Furd... I never realized it is touch plate, but it is indeed.
