Hunter ceiling fan light - can I rebuild the light kit?

I've got a Hunter ceiling fan with their ubiquitous light bulb blowing problem. Finally the other day one of the candelabra bulbs flickered, glowed very brightly, and "pop" all three went out.

New bulbs don't work, but the fan does. I just read about removing the wattage governor, so I wondered if that's what burned out.

I hate the little candelabra bulbs. Would it be possible to replace the sockets with standard sized ones?

Welcome to the forums.

I don't know if you can change the sockets but you can certainly replace the light kit.

I can only find a single light kit locally which will not work with the current switch housing assembly.
