Installing baseboard heater with supply at heater
Can you run the power supply into baseboard heater and then to wall mounted thermostat.

Welcome to the forums.
I assume you are installing a 240vac baseboard heater.
Using a 120v heater would change the wiring method.
You can run the power to the heater and then to the thermostat however that method only allows you to open one half of the 240vac power to the heater. The heater would not make heat when the thermostat was off but would not be dead. You couldn't service it like that.
Also, some newer style line voltage thermostats require the 240v power to be run to it first. Make sure you know what your thermostat requires before wiring the circuit.

You would need two cables between the heater and the t-stat. One would take 240 power to the t-stat, the other returns the switched power back to the heater. Not an efficient way to wire IMO.
